Let's Practise Grammar ( Test 3) is a 45-minute assessment that allows students ages 9-12 to prepare for important Standardised Assessment Tests (Sats) in a format aligned to official KS2 sample papers. Students read instructions carefully then demonstrate grammar, punctuation, and spelling mastery by answering multiple-choice, short-answer, and written-response questions. Numbers printed along test pages indicate potential points per question. Teachers can implement this resource whole-group to diagnose class strengths/weaknesses, in small groups for targeted reteaching, or individually to gauge student progress. This test targets the same skills tested on high-stakes exams but allows low-stakes practice. As students complete more practise tests in this series, they will build speed, accuracy, and confidence for the real thing.

Spelling & Vocab Each reading passage contains a variety of words and phrases designed for Grade 4-5 students. Spelling and vocab activities provide the opportunity to build fluency with these words. As it can become quite mundane doing the same activities over and over, each lesson in a set will contain a different spelling and vocab activity . Activities include: spelling games, sentence match-ups, mixed-up text and decoding words from the lesson. Writing Prompts Writing prompts are designed to continue the theme or lessons learned in the story. Students are persuaded to write in a variety of ways and each prompt includes several cues to help. As with the spelling/vocab section, writing prompts will vary. This includes research pieces, reading responses, poetry and creative writing prompts. They get to learn about animals and their offspring. They get to learn about natural wonders, such as volcanoes! There are so many engaging things for students to learn during science. What You Get: This is aGrade 1 Human and Animals Test that can be used to collect a summative assessment score. How To Implement This Resource: This is a 6-page assessment that should be administered after students have finished the appropriate science unit. There are 9 questions included and many of the questions consist of multiple subparts. This assessment will be scored out of 30. This assessment will include topics such as: -- The Human Life Cycle -- Healthy vs. Unhealthy Foods -- The Food Pyramid -- Physical Activity -- Herbivores, Carnivores, and Omnivores You could also use this assessment as a pre-test at the start of the unit to gauge what students already know.
