THIS IS A ONE LESSON FREE SAMPLE OF THE FOLLOWING PRODUCT: Themed Reading Comprehension Passages Series - Candy This reading comprehension series is built for grades 2 to 5 and keeps things simple, clear, and easy to use. Every title follows a fun, kid-friendly theme and comes with two passage levels, one written for grades 2 to 3 and a more challenging version for grades 4 to 5. Students then work through a mix of follow-up pages that check understanding in different ways: multiple-choice questions, short written responses, scrambled words, a quick summary, and a theme-based word problem. Answer keys are included, so prep stays minimal. Each resource also comes in nine classroom-friendly formats, so you can choose what fits your setup: print or digital, editable or ready to go, and even self-grading options. Because the layout stays consistent, it is easy to plug into whole-class lessons, small groups, literacy centers, morning work, fast finisher tubs, sub plans, or home learning. Common Core-Aligned, Year-Long Grade 2 ELA & Math Standards Tests
Math, Geometry, Graphing, Money, Time, Grammar, Language Development, ELA, Phonics, Measurements, Homeschool Curriculum, Grade 2, Assessments, Teacher Tools, Tests, Quizzes and Tests
This product is a set of 17 assessment tests for all grade 2 math standards and grade 2 ELA standards related to language, grammar, phonics, parts of speech, and sentence structure. (This product does NOT include reading, reading comprehension, or writing. There are 7 math tests (one for each unit of learning, spread throughout the year), and 8 language arts tests (one for each unit of learning, spread throughout the year), plus a final math test and a final language arts test, both of which cover all topics included on the first 15 ELA and math tests. Please note: some of the test items contain multiple problems. (For example #4 might contain several addition problems.) You can choose to count all of the problems as one (aka- if they miss even one, they lose points for the whole section), or you can just deduct a fraction of a point if one of several problems within a numbered problem is missed. The tests are a total of 53 pages, with 23 additional pages being the answer keys, for a total of 76 pages in the document. There is a score line at the top of each test: number correct out of total number of items. (I write students' percentages in a separate grade book. This product pairs with my other product: "Common Core-Aligned, Year-Long Grade 2 ELA & Math Standards Assessment", which is a list of all skills to teach in grade 2, used for teachers to track student's progress.

Operations in Scientific Notation: NOTES, Partner Activity, Test Practice
Math, Numbers, Grade 8, Tests, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools
This resource was developed to partially meet the requirements of the 8th Grade Expressions & Equations Standard below (targeted part in bold). CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE .A.3 Use numbers expressed in the form of a single digit times an integer power of 10 to estimate very large or very small quantities, and to express how many times as much one is than the other. For example, estimate the population of the United States as 3 times 108 and the population of the world as 7 times 109, and determine that the world population is more than 20 times larger CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.EE .A.4 Perform operations with numbers expressed in scientific notation, including problems where both decimal and scientific notation are used. Use scientific notation and choose units of appropriate size for measurements of very large or very small quantities (e.g., use millimeters per year for seafloor spreading). Interpret scientific notation that has been generated by technology* *This portion of the standard is only briefly addressed in the Test Practice Questions. Use discretion if you feel your students need more than one example.

Scatter Plots & Two-Way Tables UNIT TEST
Math, Statistics, Grade 8, Tests, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools
This resource was developed to meet the requirements of the 8th Grade Statistics & Probability Standards below: CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.SP.A.1 Construct and interpret scatter plots for bivariate measurement data to investigate patterns of association between two quantities. Describe patterns such as clustering, outliers, positive or negative association, linear association, and nonlinear association. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.SP.A.2 Know that straight lines are widely used to model relationships between two quantitative variables. For scatter plots that suggest a linear association, informally fit a straight line, and informally assess the model fit by judging the closeness of the data points to the line. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.SP.A.3 Use the equation of a linear model to solve problems in the context of bivariate measurement data, interpreting the slope and intercept. For example, in a linear model for a biology experiment, interpret a slope of 1.5 cm/hr as meaning that an additional hour of sunlight each day is associated with an additional 1.5 cm in mature plant height. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.8.SP.A.4 Understand that patterns of association can also be seen in bivariate categorical data by displaying frequencies and relative frequencies in a two-way table. Construct and interpret a two-way table summarizing data on two categorical variables collected from the same subjects. Use relative frequencies calculated for rows or columns to describe possible association between the two variables. For example, collect data from students in your class on whether or not they have a curfew on school nights and whether or not they have assigned chores at home. Is there evidence that those who have a curfew also tend to have chores?
