Learning letter sounds is one of the many necessary components. Another skill that we tackle is identifying and applying beginning letter sounds. That is the objective of this product. This is a What Beginning Letter Sounds do you Hear? Worksheet packed with 3 pages of practice for students. From page to page, students will look at each image and determine what sound it begins with. Students will write the letter that represents that sound in the box below the image. There are 10 images apiece on the first two pages. There are 6 images on the last page. So, there is 1 box per each letter of the alphabet. This worksheet is most appropriate for students being introduced to or reviewing beginning letter sounds: preschool – 1st grade students. You can implement this activity in a few ways: 1. Independent work 2. Early finishers 3. Small group 4. Literacy centers If you want them to use these over and over again, you can laminate each page and have students use dry erase markers.
