Teaching tips & learning objectives
Learning objectives
Students select the pronoun that correctly completes a sentence, matching subject, object, possessive, or reflexive pronoun to its grammatical role.
Students use the reference sheet's category definitions to distinguish among the four pronoun types.
Teaching tips
Introduce the reference sheet's four pronoun categories (subject, possessive, object, reflexive) before starting the slideshows, since questions from all five sets draw on all four categories without labeling which type each question tests.
Assign the five 25-question sets across separate sessions rather than in one sitting, since each set functions as a complete standalone quiz with its own answer sheet.
Skills covered
Pronoun selection โ students choose the grammatically correct pronoun (subject, object, possessive, or reflexive) to complete a sentence across 125 questions.
Possessive pronoun use โ students replace a possessive noun phrase with the matching possessive pronoun, such as choosing THEIRS for "the students' project."
