Dolch Sight Word Cards - Level PP

This is a set of Dolch Sight Words Cards, Level PP. What You Get: This is a 3-page printable with a total of 40 word cards and a "Level PP" cover card. Use these sight word cards as practice or review for your students reading at a primer level. Directions 1. Print, laminate, and cut the cards out. Note: These cards do have colored borders, so if you prefer black and white, please make adjustments in your printer settings. 2. If desired, punch a hole in the corner of each card and place on a ring clip. Memory Game Another way to use the cards is to print two sets of the cards to create a memory game. 1. Have students sort two sets of the cards in even rows, turned over so no words are showing. 2. Each child takes a turn turning over two cards. When two of the same sight word cards are turned over, the child reads the word and keeps the pair. The child who found a pair keeps playing until no pair is found. When no pair is found, turn both cards back over and the other child takes a turn. 3. Continue until all matches have been found. I hope you enjoy! Playing the Game The question slide will begin with a clue and the amount of points available for guessing the correct word with this clue alone. Students can write/say their answers. Clicking the curved arrow on the right will make the next clue appear. This will have a lower points value but gives another clue for students to guess the word on. Again, press the curved arrow for the final clue. This is pretty much a a give away ie. you put this on your head, so students win at least five points on each round. Press the arrow for the answer. A pic will also appear but immediately become semi-transparent so you can still see the clues underneath if you wish to go through them. Press the square in the bottom right corner to go to the next page. Will be harder for early learners due to the amount of reading so you may have to read it out and help with some meanings. Playing the Game After the titles and information about the game, the first game will begin. Students will be shown a close-up photo of an object and have to guess what it is. Press the = button for the answer and the original photo with word will appear. Press the arrow button to move onto the next question. 6 questions in total. Second game is a memory game. Starting with three pictures and ending up with six, students have ten seconds to observe the pictures on the screen, then need to say the words they remember. The picture page will automatically move on after ten seconds but if you wish to move on yourself quicker then there is an arrow button. In the answer screen, answers will flash if correct, dim if incorrect. Finally game is more like a question and answer, but in two parts. In the part, there will be a clue and 3-6 words to choose from. Press the correct answer. In the second section you will get the reverse, one word and then two to three clues to choose from. Choose the correct clue for the word. Includes arrows to move onto the next page.
