In each circle, there is an addition problem for students to solve. Students will cut out the numbers on page 5. They will match the cut-out numbers to the correct addition circles on the first 2 pages. This is great to place in your math centers . It would also be useful during small group, so you can assess student mastery with 1-digit addition problems. Another useful way to utilize this interactive activity is during partner work. You could also turn it into a game or competition. The student or group to correctly match all the problems first, wins! Most students love competition, so if you have a group of students that do, that is definitely a great option for you! If your students have early finisher folders or buckets in your classroom, this would be an activity to include for that. To make it a reusable activity, be sure to laminate the pages and apply Velcro dots. I designed "The Kings of Judah Bible Character Study Activity Packs to help children get into the Bible for themselves, learn research skills, enhance reading and writing skills, increase vocabulary as well as teach ancient history from a Biblical perspective. This is the second set with a total of 5 sets planned. Each worksheet contains one of five kings with categories to fill in unique facts, including: The age that each person first became king. The time period each king reigned. Who the father/mother were (if available). How long each king reigned. A bonus table is also included with additional facts about the five kings that the student can search for the Bible. 5 kings are included in this second activity pack: Hezekiah Josiah Jotham Solomon Uzziah In addition to the worksheets, the set includes: An essay assignment for students to choose their favorite king so they can study more about the individual king while developing essay writing skills. A drawing assignment is also included to encourage non-writers and visual learners to participate in the activities. Resource links and Bible verse references are included to simplify research of the kings. A map of the area is also included which can be used to for a geography lesson on Judah and the surrounding areas. An answer key for the table is included. Five coloring pages which include the name of each king for copy writing and spelling practice. My Kings of Judah 2 Activity Pack will develop their critical thinking and writing skills, provide them with advanced reading practice, allow them to express their creativity, and teach them tons of interesting things about the kings discussed in the Bible. Need an activity for practicing number bonds that will be fun and engaging? These no-prep, self checking cut and paste math puzzles are great for helping students to focus on addition as they do number bonds for number 18. Preparation: Just print and go! There are 2 pages for each number – The main worksheet and a page with puzzle pieces that need to be cut out and pasted on the worksheet. Each student will need a copy of both pages. There is also a “Back of Puzzle Pieces” page. This needs to be printed on the reverse side of all puzzle pieces pages. There are 2 printing options – colour or black and white You can also mix and match the colour and black and white pages. For example, you could print only the puzzle pieces in colour and the worksheet in black and white if you wish. These worksheets are great for: Homework Centers Extra work for early finishers Extra practice for students struggling with Number Sense How Students Use These Worksheets: Students cut out the puzzle pieces and place the pieces with the pictures facing down, so that the numbers on the back are visible. Next they need to look at the worksheet. There are sums in the blocks that need to be completed. They must find the pieces that match the sums and paste the pieces on the correct squares, with the numbers facing downwards and the picture facing upwards. As you introduce and review new topics with your art students, you may want to ensure that you have quality resources that will allow them to express their understanding of the concept. Art can be concrete and abstract simultaneously! Because of this, we want to assess mastery in the best ways we know how. We can do this when we present hands-on and engaging lessons and instruction to our students. This is aClass Logo Project. Itis an editable presentation that can be accessed through Microsoft or Google. It consists of 32 slides. The objective is for students to be able to understand the various elements of a logo and design a class logo. The presentation breakdown is as follows: Slides 2 – 4: Defining a Logo Slides 5 – 9: The History of Logos Slides 10 – 16: Students will work to find the hidden or special message in the famous logos to ensue. Slides 17 – 24: Golden Rules of Logo Design Slides 25 – 29: Logo Design Process Slide 30 – Student Assignment Slide 31 – Success Criteria Slide 32 – Rubric Student Assignment is as follows: --Create a logo for the class, using the Golden Rules (digitally or on paper) --Complete a reflection of the process and the included design elements --Submit final logo AND brainstorms/doodles/ideas along the way. there will need to be a coloured and black and white version. --When everyone is done, the class will vote on the new and official class logo.
