Many of our students love learning in a variety of ways and music is one of those! We can retain information better when we hear it through songs and visual videos. This is one reason we like to incorporate music in our learning environments. We don’t have to limit music to music class only for our students. In my store, you’ll find a wide array of music resources that students will love to learn from. This is a music video for your math students in 4th – 6th grade. The title of this song is “Your Average Joe.”This is a song and video that will have students learn about mean, median, and mode. This video provides explanations and many examples to support student learning. You can implement this video at the introduction of teaching this math skill. The objective is for students to define mean, media, and mode and be able to correctly find each. This would be a song that I play multiple times for my students across the course of this unit . AP Words Emergent Reader: In My Lap

This decodable reader helps young learners build fluency by practicing CVC words alongside basic sight words. Designed for kindergarten and first grade, the short story focuses on the AP word family, giving students repeated exposure and extra practice reading simple, phonics-based vocabulary in context. What is Included: This resource contains one emergent reader titled "In My Lap," which includes one cover page and five pages for students to color and read. How to Use: Students will color each page of the book, cut the pages apart, and then assemble the book, making sure the cover page is on top. The subsequent pages can be placed in any order and still be read with meaning. Use a stapler or tape to secure the pages together. The repetitive nature of each page allows students to have success with reading and gives them extra practice with target words! The story and sentences in the book contain simple sight words and words from the word family targeted. This makes them easy for beginning readers to have success with creating and reading each book. Other Uses for this Book: The teacher may create the book by coloring, laminating, and assembling. The book can be placed in a classroom library, sent home, or placed in a reading center for students to read during an independent reading time, at home with parents, or during their center time.
