Watermelon Seed Counting & Number Order (0–12)
Common Core, Health, P.E. & Health, Spring, Seasons, Holiday & Seasonal, Summer, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Coloring Pages, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Watermelon Seed Counting & Number Order (0–12) This is an easy summer-themed activity (but doesn't have to be used only in the summer), for counting practice that also fits a healthy eating or fruit unit. Students work one page at a time: they look at the watermelon slice, count the seeds, and circle the matching number. The pages cover 0–12, so you can pull only the range you need (0–5 for beginners, 0–10 for most learners, and 11–12 as an extension). Each page includes a short routine that helps kids stay independent: students color the numbers, trace the words “watermelon seeds,” and then read those words out loud. It’s simple, but it adds extra fine-motor practice and a little print awareness without needing additional materials. This is a perfect "National Nutrition Month" activity as well! In case you didn't know this, March is National Nutrition Month. For a hands-on option, there’s a cut-and-order page where students cut out the watermelon wedges and place them in number order (0–10). This is a nice choice for math tubs, centers, or small group time—especially for students who need to move while they learn. I also included a quick bonus page called “What Makes Watermelon So Healthy?” with short statements and writing lines. It’s a small nutrition connection that works well during summer school, end-of-year themes, or anytime you’re talking about fruits and healthy choices. Inside you’ll find: counting pages (0–12), tracing + read-aloud prompt, a cut-and-order sequencing activity, and a healthy watermelon bonus page. Spring Fractions Matching Game Activity - 1/2s to 1/12s - Printable
Holiday & Seasonal, Seasons, Spring, Math, Fractions, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Spring Fractions Matching Game Activity - 1/2s to 1/12s - Printable Engage your students with the Spring Fractions Matching Game Activity , a fun and interactive way to practice common fractions from halves to twelfths. This vibrant, spring-themed activity makes learning fractions accessible and enjoyable for grade levels one through four. It serves as an ideal resource for public school teachers or homeschoolers looking for innovative ways to make mathematics more relatable. This product comes with five different types of printable cards — symbols, circles, squares along with circles and squares accompanied by symbols. Each version aims to introduce fractions in a unique way, allowing teachers the versatility of blending different versions together or sticking with just one type depending on the student's grasp of the subject. Once printed and optionally laminated for long-lasting use, each card can be cut out individually. A black-and-white printing option is also available specifically designed for cost-efficient usage across multiple batches of students. In terms of gameplay mechanics: For Single Player - The game begins by shuffling cards face down in a grid formation before flipping two over at random attempts to find matching pairs as efficiently as possible. For Multiple Players – Consistent rules apply; however, each player takes turns flipping cards over in search of matches until all pairs have been claimed. The winner is determined by who collects most fractions pairings. The beauty lies within its flexibility; educators can adjust difficulty levels based on their student’s educational needs by using fewer or more fraction cards during gameplay sessions. To upgrade the challenge level further you may mix match card types encouraging greater interaction between players and simultaneously enhancing cognitive skills amongst them. This activity can be implemented in numerous scenarios: from whole classroom settings where students would compete against one another promoting friendly competition while learning about fractions; smaller group enquiries where cooperative matches take place fostering teamwork-oriented mindset; lastly serving as a homework assignment instigating an environment of self-learning, sustaining long-term retention. Moreover, the Spring Fractions Matching Game Activity ’s seasonal appearance serves as an enjoyable introduction to fractions during springtime holidays and other festive occasions forming a strong link between academia and recreational activities. Apart from the matching game activity , this product resource can integrate well with other learning resources like bingo games, number bonds activities or times tables board games making your teaching sessions even more dynamic and fun-filled. Overall this simple yet flexible teaching tool serves to represent common fractions in diverse captivating ways fostering a love for mathematics in every child.
