Train Letter Sort Activity

Train Letter Sort Activity
ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Activities

Train Letter Sort Activity is a phonics resource for early elementary students to practice letter recognition using different fonts. This engaging packet can be used in whole group, small group, or individual settings. To prepare, print the pages on cardstock, laminate the picture page, and cut and laminate the alphabet and letter cards. Students will place an alphabet card in the top right corner of the picture page, then sort through the letter cards to fill in the picture with the matching letters. Start with 3-4 letters at a time, adjusting based on students' skill levels. This multisensory activity combines hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and phonics skills to help students gain fluency in letter recognition across various fonts in a fun, transportation-themed way.
