The "All About Me" activity is such a fantastic way to kick off the school year! It’s always a hit with my elementary students. This activity helps everyone feel welcome and gives them a chance to learn about each other in a fun, engaging way. Students get to share details about their interests, hobbies, families, and dreams through posters , presentations, or even digital collages. What I love most about this activity is how it breaks the ice and helps students form connections right away. It creates a sense of community and understanding in the classroom, which is so important. Plus, it gives me a peek into their personalities and interests, which helps me tailor my lessons to make them more engaging. The "All About Me" activity blends creativity, personal reflection, and social interaction perfectly, making it an awesome way to start the school year on a positive, inclusive note. PDF file includes 3 pages. Enjoy!

Back to School ABC Order Literacy Center
Holiday & Seasonal, Holidays, Back To School, Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Centers, Activities
This resource is a Back to School ABC Order Literacy Center . These cards are great for english learners, your word wall, or this alphabetical order activity. Students randomly choose 6 word cards. They write the words down in the order that they are chosen to list them in mixed order. (I find that with my first graders, it works better if I have them take a card and write it down before choosing the next card). Students then arrange the cards so that they are in the correct abc order. After the student has ordered the words, they are written down in the second column on the worksheet.

Forever June Digital Design's Selfie Self Portrait printables encourage self-expression and positive affirmations. Students create unique self-portraits by coloring in a hand holding a phone to take a "selfie." They choose positive affirmation speech bubbles to pair with their selfie, such as "I am capable of amazing things." Use this social-emotional learning activity for back to school to set an inclusive classroom tone. Students can redraw their selfie later in the year to chart growth. Compatible with homeschool or classrooms from preschool to grade 6, the high resolution JPEG files are ready to print and create engaging bulletin board displays about students' interests, emotions, and goals.
