This is a Let's Talk About Spring English / ESL Boardgame. All you have to do is print this game board and grab a pair of dice. The game board can be printed in color or black and white. This simple game board is great for your English-speaking students and your ESL students who are building their language skills in the English language. Students can work in pairs or groups of 3-4. You can also pull students in a small group with you to better assess their progress and mastery. These board games are great because they come in a variety of themes and topics, so students will be able to increase their vocabulary. You can choose to do a few different activities when you use these board games : 1. Students can take turns rolling the dice. They will move that many places on the board. Whatever space they land on, they can read the question out loud and answer it verbally with their partner or group. 2. Same as number 1, but the partner can answer the question instead of the person who rolled the dice. 3. Same as number 1, but both partners (or everybody in the group) can write their answer down on paper. 4. Same as number 1, but students can practice writing down the question and their individual answer to the question. If you choose to make it a competition, then whoever reaches the end of the board first wins! If you like my teaching resources you may want to have a look at my other products. These farm themed number cards are perfect for students who are learning with a spring theme. They make the perfect tool for students to learn the letters of the number. What is Included: This set includes one number card and one number word card for all numbers up to 20. Ways to Use the Cards: Play a matching game by matching the numbers to their number words. Attach a paper clip to a number card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the numbers for a fun fishing game. Use a sand or salt tray for students to practice writing the numbers or number words on each card. Have students find the numbers that you have hidden around the room for a fun number hunt. Place the number cards in numerical order. Create a pocket char game where you place the cards on a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the numbers. The students will guess which number the hidden picture is behind. Add objects so students can count to the number on the card. When to Use: Math Center - Place the cards in a math center for students to match independently or with a partner. Morning Tubs or Baskets - Place the cards in a morning bin for students to work on while their classmates arrive to class. Small Group Activities - The teacher can pull aside a small group of students who need extra practice identifying numbers and number words. These farm number cards are a great activity for students to practice number recognition during the spring months. They are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. Simply print, cut apart and laminate for durability. These cards can be stored in a task box for easy set up, clean up, and storage. Skills Assessed: These cards, depending on the materials added, can assess both number recognition and number word recognition.
