Each page was created to look and feel like a traditional notebook but was designed to take advantage of everything that digital brings. Digital Interactive Notebook for Google and OneDrive cloud services. If you don’t currently have a Google account, you can sign up for one completely free and get started in 5 minutes. If you’re a OneDrive user, no problem. Simply download the notebook as a PowerPoint file to your computer then upload it to your OneDrive account. This however required a lot of material and the unwelcomed task of lugging them all home with you to mark. But we used them because they were effective and allowed us to effectively assess our students understanding. NOW: Why use digital interactive notebooks? As prices decrease, many schools are moving towards a 1:1, computer-student ratio and are becoming digital, the way we teach needs to keep up. You don’t even need a class set of computer, a personal device (cell phone, laptop, tablet, etc. will work just as well). Digital interactive notebooks provide all the same means of organization and assessment but without the physical notebook. This… 1) Saves you from bringing them back and forth/storing them in your class. 2) Purchasing all the necessary supplies. 3) Having them get lost, misplace pages, etc. Once you purchase, you’ll get a direct link. This link will allow you to place your own copy of the digital notebook into your Google Drive folder. From there, simply distribute the file to your students. Do you feel that your students will miss out on the hands-on experience they receive from traditional interactive notebooks? In today’s world, I don’t think that’s a concern. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the letter C sound from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at a picture on a ball of yarn to determine if the picture begins with the letter C or does not begin with the letter C, and then the students will place the yarn on the correct cat mat. This fully editable Lab Station Activity on Magnetic Fields is meant to get your students out of their seats and engaged in the content. This activity was designed for high school physical science students. Each station not only offers a unique opportunity to test your students' knowledge (offer an opinion, answer questions based on a video or reading, draw, etc.) but also provides a fantastic learning opportunity where your kids are learning through assessment. Practice reading and writing CVC words with these fun AP word family dice games. Students will practice recognizing, reading, writing and spelling words with the AP rime. What is Included: Dice templates to go with each of the game mats Seven recording mats that go with one of the dice sets. To play, students will roll the dice. Depending on the mat they are using, students will color, trace, cover, graph, or write the word or image that was rolled. By having many activity mats, these games can be easily differentiated for that students that need more support. These dice games make great literacy or phonics stations or centers. More Ways to Use these Dice Games: For a single player game, students can use the tracing worksheets to trace the word or picture they rolled. Dry erase markers can be used on the writing and tracing mats.

Number Roads 0–10—Tracing and Parking Activities with Cars I use these number rods a lot in my class, especially when children are just starting to learn numbers. It feels less like a worksheet and more like a small activity. Each number is designed like a road. The children can trace it with their finger or a pencil, or they can drive a small toy car along the path. Most of them truly enjoy that. The set includes the numbers from 0 to 10. The structure is always the same, so the children quickly understand what to do and can work more independently after a short time. There are also parking pages included. After tracing, the children can park cars. For example, they take as many cars as the number shows. Some children also like to add one car after each round of tracing. That works quite well to connect tracing and counting. You don’t need many extra materials. If you don’t have toy cars, you can just use the car templates that are included. I usually laminate the pages and use dry erase markers so we can use them again. Included: Number roads from 0 to 10. Color version Black and white version Simple car templates parking pages short instructions I use it for: centers individual work small groups or just as a quick start to a lesson It works well for children who require clear and simple tasks. The pages all look similar, so they don’t need a lot of explanation. The main focus is on: Getting to know numbers practicing how to write them improving fine motor skills connecting numbers and quantities Some children only trace at first. Others start counting right away. Both work, so it’s easy to adjust without changing anything. The black and white version is helpful if you want it more simple or if the children want to color the roads. It’s a simple material, but I use it regularly because it works in many situations and doesn’t need much preparation.

Playing the Game Clicking on any of the squares/rectangles on each slide will make that shape disappear revealing part of the picture underneath. Keep revealing the picture until student(s) say the right word. Clicking the circle in the bottom right corner will remove all remaining pieces and the word will appear. Shortly after the circle will be replaced by an arrow and clicking this will turn to the next slide.
