Teaching students plural nouns can be a really difficult task. There are so many different rules, so teaching each rule independently, I think, is key. With this resource you will get one of my grammar plural noun posters, as well as a worksheet that goes along with the rule. This would work great for 2nd and 3rd grades. It can be great for teaching the rule, as well as reviewing the rule. This poster's rule is the rule that most nouns add an -s to make it plural. The poster is colorful and gives examples. A black and white version of the poster is available as well. The poster can be placed up on the board or wall for students to refer back to. If you'd like to copy the poster for each student, you can use the black and white version. The worksheet provided has 20 questions for students to answer. This can be done whole group, as independent practice, or even as an assessment. You will receive 3 pdf pages: one is of the poster in color, one is the poster in black and white, and one of the worksheet. Note: The poster is 8 1/2 x 11.

This alphabet game provides students with a fun way to practice on the initial sound of the letter F. The game focuses on the most common sound of the initial /f/ sound. What is Included: * One color gameboard * One black and white gameboard What do you need to play: * One of the gameboards * A die * Something to mark the inner spaces with * A player piece to move around the edge of the board This game can be a single player or a two player game. To play, students will need one gameboard, one die, 20 objects to mark the inner part of the game board, and a game piece for each student playing. First, a student will roll the die and move his game piece around the outside of the board. The student will then cover the corresponding picture in the middle of the game board. The winner or end of game can be determined by one of the following rules below, depending on if the student is playing alone or with a partner. Practice addition fact fluency with these addition games for addition within 10. Each worksheets will have students create and solve addition equations using dice or by searching for addition equations. Activities Included This product contains five worksheets for addition games. One addition game has students search for addition equations in a word search format. Students will color each equation as they find it in the number search. The other addition game has students roll two dice , write the numbers on the recording page, then solve to see the sum of the two numbers rolled. When to Use: Independent Practice - Teachers can the worksheets to the students to complete at their seats independently. Small Group Activities - Teachers can use these worksheets in small group settings to help target areas where students need more practice. Morning Work - These pages can be given to students to complete in the morning while waiting for other students to arrive to class. Homework - These worksheets can be sent home with students to practice addition with number bonds at home with parents. Math Centers - These pages can be put in a math center with counting manipulatives for students to practice counting with number bonds. This is a passage about the more "impossible" moments in Winter Olympic history. It is written on a 3rd-4th grade level and talks about the 1980 US Hockey Team and the 1988 Jamaican Bobsled team. These are two winter sports that the students are likely familiar with and the stories are interesting so it engages students while they read and answer questions. You can use this as a center, guided reading activity , homework, assessment, or just general reading check. The passage is available as a printable activity or there is a link to a Google Slides activity for students to complete digitally. An answer key is provided.
