What is Included: This resource contains 26 two-piece alphabet puzzles that match capital and lowercase letters for each letter of the alphabet. The hands-on nature of these puzzles gives students a tactile way to practice matching uppercase and lowercase letters. Students can complete these puzzles independently or with a partner. How to Use the Puzzles Task Box Activities -- Place the cut-out puzzle pieces in a task box so students can complete the puzzles. Literacy Centers -- Place these puzzle pieces in a literacy center for students to choose to do for practicing matching capital and lowercase letters. Morning Baskets or Tubs -- By using the puzzles in morning bins, students can stay engaged while they wait for their classmates to arrive to class. All of the puzzles in this resource can be stored in task boxes. This allows the teacher to have an easy to set up activity that students can easily clean up and put away all by themselves. Skills Assessed: Letter Recognition for Capital and Lowercase Letters Matching Capital Letters with their Corresponding Lowercase Letters Ability to place letters in alphabetical order These alphabet puzzles are low prep. They just need to be printed out and cut apart before being added to the desired activity location. The teacher can choose to laminate the puzzle pieces for durability.
