skip counting by 8s bingo - boards 21-25

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 8 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 8s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. This game is played like any other Bingo game where students must get five in a row to achieve BINGO. The Bingo can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. It is recommended that you print and cut out the bingo cards, and then laminate each one for repeated use. Students can then use a dry or wet erase marker to mark the card, allowing for easy clean-up. To play the game, the teacher will read the definition and students must mark the corresponding term on their card. When a students shouts BINGO, make sure you have them read their words out loud so that the correct terms were marked. Are you looking for a low-maintenance way to give your students spiral review EVERY SINGLE DAY to keep their 6th grade math skills sharp? With Mini Math Escape Room - Mission 4, you can do just that! You can use this short, self-checking digital activity as a daily warm up! Each Mini Math Escape Mission is a 10 minute digital escape room with five math problems that reveal a code to "escape." The escape room aspect adds a little motivation, but doesn't take up too much time or turn it into a huge production. It is focused and structured! To complete the task, students answer five math problems on one page. They take the first digit from each correct answer to create a 5-digit code. Letter I Mini Alphabet Book

Get students engaged with learning about the letter I with this mini foldable alphabet book. The large images makes these books easy for students to color, and the foldable nature of these books product a no prep activity that can easily be assigned to students. What is Included: This resource includes two foldable books for the letter I. Each book includes a cover page and 3 picture pages all with pictures that begin with I. Each page also includes a sentence that reads like "A is for Apple," making it easy to read for beginning readers. There is one book for the short vowel sound and one book for the long vowel sound. How to Make: Students will color each page of the foldable book. They will then fold the page to make an alphabet book. The student will then read the book to themselves or to another person. When to Use: Independent Practice - Students can be given these mini books to color and work on independently. Homework - This book can be sent home with students so that they can work on beginning reading and letter sounds with their parents. Literacy or Writing Center - Place the page in the center and let students create their own book. Library - The teacher may choose to create this book and add it to the classroom library for students to read during center time. These alphabet books are a no prep option for teachers to give to students to complete. Each book just needs to be printed out and given to students to complete. They will only need their desired crayons, markers, or colored pencils. No scissors or glue required! Students will have a lot of fun creating and reading these books. They will gain confidence in their reading skills by reading the easy sentences to themselves or to their peers. Students will also gain practice recognizing beginning sounds!
