End of Year Camera Memory Book – Printable Activity

End-of-year chaos is real — and this little camera foldable came out of me desperately wanting something meaningful that wouldn't require me to prep anything the night before.

Kids cut and fold their own booklet into the shape of a camera, which sounds simple, but honestly? That part alone gets them excited. Once it's in their hands, they actually want to fill it in. Each section inside walks them through reflecting in English — their best memories from the year, the friendships they made, what they're proud of, and what's coming next.

What surprised me most the first time I used it was hearing from parents afterward. Kids brought them home and actually talked about them. Siblings were jealous. A few parents messaged me saying their kid still had it on their desk weeks later. That doesn't happen with a worksheet.

The download includes 10 printable pages. There's a black-and-white version kids can color themselves, and a pre-colored version if you'd rather just print and go. Both are US Letter size. Print, hand them out, done.

I've used this as a whole-class project, tucked it into my writing center, and handed it to early finishers during those last weird days of school when everyone's a little checked out. It works for all of it.
