  • Determine whether a slope is positive, negative, zero, or undefined directly from a graph.

  • Compare the rate of change between two functions given in different representations, such as a table versus an equation, to identify which is greater.

Teaching tips

  • Use as a quick formative check after all three slope representations (table, graph, equation) have been taught, since questions move between all three without signalling which is coming next.

  • Questions 9 and 10 are the most demanding, requiring a direct comparison between two differently represented functions; consider reviewing these as a class after grading.

  • Assign the Google Forms version for an automatically scored digital quiz, or print the PDF version for a paper-based assessment or substitute lesson.
