About this resource
What's inside this resource
Letter U Letter Sorting Students will strengthen letter recognition and sorting skills with this engaging underground letter U activity. Budding readers will distinguish between uppercase and lowercase U's by sorting worm-themed letter cards onto the coordinating capital or lowercase letter mat. This literacy center is perfect for independent or paired practice. Use it in small groups, literacy centers, morning tubs, or file folder activities. Assess letter recognition, capitalization skills, and sorting abilities. Print, laminate if desired, and cut out the mats and letter cards. Students place the mats side-by-side then sort the matching worm cards. File folder version: Glue mats inside and use fasteners to attach cards. Baking tray version: Put magnets on card backs to stick to the tray.
