In the classroom

Use a color and black-and-white pair where available for a teacher-created matching task; the tooth image is supplied in black and white only.

Classroom resource assembly — a teacher selects individual T-initial picture cutouts (color or black-and-white) to build letter-sound sorting activities, craft cutouts, or bulletin board displays.
Initial-letter picture matching — the nine items shown (teapot, telephone, tomato, tooth, train, tree, triangle, tulip, turtle) all begin with the letter T, supporting a beginning-sound activity a teacher assembles.
