This product covers the 2016 Virginia (VA) Standards of Learning (SOL) 3.7 The student will estimate and use U.S. Customary and metric units to measure a) length to the nearest 1/2 inch, inch, foot, yard, centimeter, and meter; and b) liquid volume in cups, pints, quarts, gallons, and liters. note that this will also work for the 2023 VA SOL 3.MG.1 The student will reason mathematically using standard units (U.S. Customary and metric) with appropriate tools to estimate and measure objects by length, weight/mass, and liquid volume to the nearest half or whole unit. (except this one does not cover any weight/mass measurement notes) It contains printables that can be used for several activities. You can print the sort cards and category cards and have students sort the words in groups. You can print the sort cards and put them around the room/tables and have students walk around in a scoot and record their sort on the student recording sheet. There is also a completely independent activity , where you print the student recording sheet and the small sort cards and have students cut and glue to complete the sort. You could even use the gluing sort as a formative assessment after your complete the sort as a group to see how much the students retained. This resource contains foldable books for the sight word: find The pages included in this product are: There are 2 sight word activity foldable books. Both books have a cover page to color, a seek and find activity where students color or dab the sight word, and an area where students will trace the sight word. One book has a page where students will simply read sentences containing the sight word, while the other contains sentences for students to first write the sight word, then read the sentences. There are 2 sight word emergent readers. One reader has students simply color an image and read the sentence containing the target sight word. The second reader contains the same sentences with the sight word missing. Students will write the sight word, then read the sentences on these books. How to Make: Students can either fold the books first or complete the activities before folding the book. The order is not important. With this resource you will get one of my grammar plural noun posters, as well as a worksheet that goes along with the rule. This would work great for 2nd and 3rd grades. It can be great for teaching the rule, as well as reviewing the rule. This poster's rule is the rule that most nouns add an -s to make it plural. The poster is colorful and gives examples. A black and white version of the poster is available as well. The poster can be placed up on the board or wall for students to refer back to.
