100 Chart Mystery Picture Reveal | House | Addition & Subtraction

I created this 100 chart mystery picture activity to give students a fun way to practice addition and subtraction while working with numbers on a 100 chart. I designed it with 1st and 2nd grade students in mind, but it can also be used with kindergarten students who are ready for an extra challenge.

Students will solve each math problem and then find the answer on the 100 chart. They will color the corresponding number according to the directions. As they work through the problems, a house shape will be revealed on the chart.

How I Designed This Activity

I wanted this to be more than a regular page of addition and subtraction problems. Students have to solve the problems and use their answers on the 100 chart, so they can connect the math problems to the numbers they see on the chart.

The mystery picture also gives students something to work toward as they complete the activity. The house gradually appears as they color the correct numbers.
