Teaching tips
Fold each card along its printed centre line and laminate before use so the animal image faces the child while the movement prompt faces the reading adult.
Work through the 15 cards individually or as a full sequence so children practice a range of animal-specific movement styles in one session.
Emphasize the adverb when reading each card. Compare how lightly, heavily or smoothly changes the movement.
