Product description
From the author
This resource includes simple arrangements of well-known Classical (Classical, Romantic and Baroque) music. Arranged for Boomwhackers®, sheet music for two parts is colour coded so that you can have fun in the class, after listening to or studying a song, or performing a concert with your students. There is also PowerPoints included so that you can display each arrangement easily in your classroom. Please note that some require chromatic notes and or octavator caps to create ideal performance.

Teaching tips & learning objectives
Learning objectives
Play a two-part Boomwhackers color-tube arrangement of a classical melody as a class ensemble.
Follow a displayed slide to match tube color to pitch while playing along with a classmate group.
Teaching tips
Play a recording of each original classical piece before rehearsing the Boomwhackers arrangement so students recognize the source.
Check that chromatic Boomwhackers or Octavator caps are on hand before assigning pieces noted as using accidentals or a high E.
Use the matching slide deck to display the color-coded part while the class plays, since the description notes the slides are meant for this purpose.
Skills covered
Boomwhackers ensemble performance — students play color-coded tube parts in time as a class ensemble.
Melody recognition — students connect a Boomwhackers arrangement to its classical source melody by ear.

Questions teachers ask about this resource
Will a basic diatonic set cover every arrangement?
Not necessarily. The included Nocturne description specifically calls for chromatic Boomwhackers for accidentals and recommends more than one octave or Octavator caps for its high E. Check the chosen arrangement against your available instruments.
