About This Product

This is a cute three page fish and ocean theme counting mat that will make learning to count fun and interactive. Great for early learners and kinder to first grade. You may need to help younger learners with cutting the goldfish manipulatives or have them practice cutting on their own. Manipulatives are physical objects that are awesome teaching tools used to introduce a concept or idea, and they are an effective tool to keep students engaged. What is great about this resource is that you have the options of using the paper manipulatives provided in this resource, or adding an additional fun activity by using other fish objects. Some ideas for fish could be goldfish crackers or fish gummy candies. Be creative and have your learners come up with their own ideas for seed manipulatives. There are two mat options: a colorful one and black and white version for your learners to color their own mat. Incorporate this low prep resource to your number lessons. Use card stock paper to print on and laminate the mat to prevent wear and tear.
