Goods and Services word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this goods and services puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our economics unit. The kids could point to a toy and say "I want that" but had no idea the toy is a good and getting a haircut is a service. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like good, service, toy, food, clothes, car, haircut, repair, teach, doctor, police, firefighter, buy, sell, and job. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the difference finally stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about whether an ice cream cone is a good or a service. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple toy and doctor drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers list two goods and two services on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
