A few words on guided reading

Guided reading involves small-group instruction where a teacher aids each reader in developing strategies for effectively processing new texts that progressively increase in difficulty. In guided reading, students in a small group read a text chosen by you that matches their instructional reading level. You deliver instruction throughout the lesson to help students develop their mental frameworks of strategies for handling progressively difficult texts.
