Holiday Time – Reading Comprehension Worksheet – 3rd Grade Poetry

Holiday Time – Reading Comprehension Worksheet helps third grade learners practice poetry with clear directions and a clean, kid-friendly layout. Print it and it is ready for class, homework, or homeschool lessons.

Learning objective: Students will build accuracy and confidence with poetry through short, focused practice that reinforces what was taught in class.

Why it works: Each page targets one skill, so students get meaningful repetition without feeling overwhelmed. The layout is clean and uncluttered, which helps young learners focus on the task instead of the decorations.

What's included:

• 2-page printable worksheet

• Answer key (1 page)

• Cover page

How it's organized: Students read the directions at the top, complete the practice items one at a time, and finish with a quick look back over their work.

Grade level: Designed for third grade students. It also works well for second grade and fourth grade students who need extra practice or a fresh review.

How to use it: It is a great fit for morning work, learning centers, intervention groups, test review, homeschool lessons, and take-home practice.

Answer key: An answer key is included, so you can check work quickly or let students self-correct.

Teaching tips and variations:

• Model the first item together, then let students finish the rest independently.
