Louisiana Purchase Task Cards

About This Product
Add this set of 20 task cards to your teacher toolbox and watch your grade 4 and grade 5 learners get excited about Social Studies. The focus of this activity is the Louisiana Purchase. From start to finish, your learners will learn about and/or review key concepts surrounding this major event in U.S. history. Once they’ve completed the final card, they’ll walk away having a deeper understanding of the “who, what, when, why, where, and how” of the Louisiana Purchase. Designed to provide a variety of formats, the cards present questions as multiple choice, true and false, fill-in the blank, and word unscramble. Not only that, but a few math, geography, and vocabulary questions are also included. These task cards are versatile and allow for a break from traditional worksheet or digital seatwork. Use them as a whole class activity, posting the cards around the room and promoting body and mind learning. Better yet, take the same concept outdoors and add in the novelty of a different learning location, sunlight, and fresh air. When you purchase this product, you will receive a color and black & white version of the task cards. Laminating a set will allow for year-over-year use and provide you with a quick, last-minute activity should the need arise. The answer recording sheets are available as two per page, reducing the number of copies you’ll make. Finally, an answer key for all cards is included. Below, you will find the details of each task card.
