I am happy to share my 9-11 Flag Design Template and Brainstorming Worksheet for Patriot's Day, which includes a blank white flag, reading Patriot Day, with a brainstorming sheet that students can plan out their flag design. This DIY 9-11 Drawing and Writing Activity sheet is a fantastic way for teachers to introduce this serious subject in an easy to understand, age appropriate way for early elementary classes. This activity allows children to think about how they want their flag to look, what message they want to send with it in regards to Patriot's Day.
