Silent e Sundaes cover: spell and read CVCe words by putting three CVC scoops in a bowl and adding a silent e spoon
Read the directions aloud before setting up the center
CVC word scoops to cut out: tap, cap, kit, mad, hop, con, car, not, can, cut, fin, cub, dim and hug, one letter per scoop
Print in color and laminate the first set of word scoops
More CVC word scoops to cut out: man, pan, van, mat, hid, pin, sit, tub and ton, each letter on its own ice cream scoop
Second set of scoops to add more word choices
Silent e spoons: ten gray spoon cut-outs, each marked e, that students add after a CVC word to make a long-vowel CVCe word
Cut and store spoons in a cup at the center
Five more silent e spoon cut-outs, finishing the set of e spoons students place after a scoop word to build long vowels
Final spoon sheet; print only if you need spares
Sundae bowl cut-outs in pink, yellow, green and blue where students line up three letter scoops to build each word
Mats to hold each word while students build it
CVC silent e recording sheet: students write the word sundaes they made at the center inside 12 bowls, with a name line
Accountability page to collect after center rotation
