About This Product
These digital soft skills scenarios are drag-and-drop PowerPoint slides (they also work in Google Slides) where students read real workplace problems, move a star onto the best choice, and type why it works.
Why I made this: In my experience, students lose jobs over moments more than over skills. Showing up late without calling. Arguing with a supervisor. I wanted a way for students to practice those moments on their own device, and the "Why?" box keeps them from just guessing.
- 24 scenario slides across 6 soft skills: Being on Time, Taking Feedback, Teamwork, Communication, Problem Solving, and Attitude
- A drag-and-drop matching warm-up for the 6 skills
- A 10-tile sort: helps me keep a job or could cost me a job
- A self-rating and goal-setting slide
- Two Check Your Work slides for self-checking (keep them or delete them)
- A teacher guide PDF with pacing by skill, accommodations, and an answer key with a reason for every best choice
How to use it: Open the file in PowerPoint or Google Slides and assign it with a copy for each student. Do one skill a day, about 15 to 20 minutes, and talk through the "Why?" answers together.
Who it’s for: special education, transition, life skills, and CTE classes in grades 9 to 12 and 18-21 programs. Works with read-aloud.
Format: 31-slide PowerPoint (.pptx) zip with a teacher guide. Open in PowerPoint or upload to Google Drive and open with Google Slides. Assign a copy per student.
Good to know: every scenario has a best choice and a short reason in the answer key, so you can use the slides for independent practice or as discussion starters with a small group. Students who use read-aloud can listen to each scenario before they move the star. The Check Your Work slides are optional, so keep them or delete them.
