Spanish AQA GCSE Translation & Writing Workbook

This is a focused practice workbook I put together for my GCSE Spanish classes when we were working through the Holidays and Travel topic. My students knew the vocabulary well enough but were consistently losing marks on the translation and writing papers, so I wanted something they could work through independently without me having to set everything up from scratch each time. I also needed something I could hand out for homework or leave with cover without having to write a load of instructions.

The workbook covers translation practice in both directions — so English into Spanish and Spanish into English — along with some vocabulary and sentence-building work to ease students in before the harder tasks. There's a full 90–120 word writing task written in the AQA style, which I find students need to practise far more than they actually do. I've also included some stretch and challenge tasks aimed at students pushing for a Grade 7, 8 or 9, because those higher-achieving students often finish early and need something to keep them going. Answers are included throughout, so students can self-check or I can mark it quickly.

I use it for homework, revision lessons, and occasionally cover. It's a PDF so you just print and hand it out — nothing to prepare beforehand and no editing needed.

Best for Years 10 and 11 preparing for AQA GCSE Spanish, though it works fine as a revision tool for Year 9s who are getting ahead.
