Utilizing this Resource: Simply print the flower templates, and then allow the students to color, cut out, and assemble into a flower on colored construction paper. You can also print the flower design onto colored card stock to create a sorting activity . The flower will need to be cut and laminated. A twelve-slide stress-management lesson opens by defining stress, then has students discuss personal stress triggers with a partner before sorting those triggers into 'within my control' versus 'out of my control' categories as a class. A hands-on activity has students form a circle and pass a book from their desk to a classmate standing in the center while sharing a stress trigger, physically representing accumulated stress; the group then collects the books back in reverse order while each student names a coping strategy. The lesson closes with a class discussion connecting the physical activity to real stress management, followed by an index-card reflection where students record three personal strategies to keep. No printed materials beyond the slide deck are required, matching its 'no prep' framing. For an independent version of that same within-my-control-versus-out-of-my-control sort, the things I can and cannot control worksheet gives students twenty phrase cards to sort under the same two headings.
