PBS Declarations Black Americans & Revolutionary War Worksheet
History: USA, History, Social Studies, Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, Worksheets, Worksheets & Printables
Keep students watching and writing the whole way through with this fill-in-the-blank worksheet for Declarations: Black Americans and the Revolutionary War (PBS, 2026). The 15 questions follow the video in the order it plays, so students record each answer as that moment happens on screen instead of reconstructing it afterward — which holds their attention and leaves them with an organized set of notes to study from later. Built for US History, it is a natural fit for US History and American Revolution units (grades 6-12) covering the Declaration of Independence, Lord Dunmore's Proclamation, and Black soldiers, spies, and petitioners on both sides of the war, and Black History Month programming and African American history courses, plus AP US History classes working the gap between the Declaration's language and the practice of slavery. The film runs about 56 minutes, so the sheet is built to carry a multi-day study or a longer viewing block rather than a single sitting. Use it as a full-period viewing activity, a guided companion when you hand the room to a substitute, or a focused review at the end of a unit. A complete answer key is printed on the final page, so whoever is covering the class can run it with no preparation and no background knowledge. The 1-page layout is clean and low-ink, designed to print two-sided. Everything is laid out for a low-prep class period: hand out the page, press play, and let students do the rest. The questions stay in the order the video presents them, so students can follow along without losing their place. It prints cleanly in black and white, which keeps a full class set cheap to photocopy. If it works well for your students, a quick rating wherever you downloaded it helps other teachers find it. Diverse Perspectives Worksheets Critical Thinking Emotional Learning
STEM, Special Resources, Life Studies, Not Grade Specific, Worksheets & Printables
Perspectives are not something that children naturally consider. They consider their viewpoint, including what happened to them, how they perceived it, and how they felt. That's just where they begin; it's not a problem. The purpose of these worksheets is to relocate them. The collection's central theme is that, depending on who is in the circumstance, it might appear quite different. Students from different backgrounds bring different presumptions to the classroom. Different lens, same event. Reminding children to "be respectful" is not enough to help them understand that and find it fascinating rather than frightening. Practice is necessary. These activities are designed for that purpose. As they read stories, students consider the factors that influenced a character's decisions. After seeing a film, they generate an opinion, compare it to a partner's, and determine the source of the difference. They ask what three distinct persons in the setting may be thinking while sitting with a single photograph. The piece is not abstract. Every task requires students to slow down and take a second look at something tangible, such as a speech, a book, an image, or an actual conversation with a classmate. Here, social skills are not the only ones that improve. When children understand how a narrator's background influences what they observe, their reading comprehension improves. Students' writing improves when they have a real point of contention. When kids are gathering information instead of merely waiting to speak, listening takes on a purpose. These are not curriculum-based soft skills. They are essential to effective reading, writing, and thinking. Close reading, character analysis, TED Talks, photo prompts, and companion discussions are just a few of the worksheet subjects. In one exercise based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "The Danger of a Single Story," students are asked to think about what is lost when we only hear one account. In another, students conduct interviews with people outside of the classroom to find out what makes their lives meaningful, then bring their responses back to compare. The objective is the same for all of them: pupils who are capable of maintaining their own opinions while really taking into account those of others. It's more difficult than it seems. They have frequent space to practice it thanks to these materials.

Emotional Intelligence Worksheets Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Life Studies, Special Resources, STEM, Not Grade Specific, Worksheets & Printables
Emotional Intelligence Worksheets | Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Activities ⭐One of the most useful things you can do in a classroom is to teach children how to manage their emotions. It's not the most obvious lesson, but it manifests itself in every situation, such as how pupils deal with a poor grade, a lunchtime argument, or a situation where they are unsure of how to react. Students can use this set of printable worksheets as a methodical technique to take their time and reflect. Each one focuses on a certain ability, such as recognizing what set off a reaction, thinking back on a fight after it has ended, or developing the practice of waiting before reacting. Despite having various titles, they are not the same activity. With every sheet, the emphasis changes. ⭐ Feelings Detectives, Emotion IQ Quiz, Emotion Explorer, Strong Reactions, Challenge Reflections, Conflict Insights, Situation Analyzer, Emotion Observer, Emotion Solutions, Pause & Reflect, Emotion Analyzer, Emotion Journal, Feel & Act, and Strengths & Gaps are all featured. ⭐ Accurately naming emotions, expanding their emotional vocabulary, comprehending what triggers strong reactions in themselves, practicing how to calm down before reacting, viewing a situation from another person's point of view, resolving conflict more clearly, and coming to decisions they can genuinely defend are all areas in which students work. The sheets are pliable. They work for independent practice, homeschooling, life skills programs, morning meetings, counseling sessions, and small groups. They are frequently used by special education teachers. School counselors also need something that pupils can solve on their own without much guidance. There is nothing to prepare. They are ready once you print them. Emotional intelligence, self-awareness, emotional regulation, self-reflection, empathy, social awareness, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, conflict resolution, critical thinking, communication, growth mindset, and problem solving are among the skills covered. However, in all honesty, the fact that students actually get practice completing the work is more important than those labels.

This is the complete worksheet set for Modern Marvels: WWII (History Channel, 2026): a fill-in-the-blank worksheet for every one of the 3 episodes, gathered in a single download. It suits Middle and high school World History teachers running a World War II unit and wanting the whole three-part event in one file, and US History classes covering Pearl Harbor, the Pacific campaign, D-Day logistics, the Manhattan Project, and American wartime production. The layout is clean and low-ink throughout, designed to print two-sided. Episodes covered: Super Weapons, Mega Builds, and Gears and Gadgets. A self-grading digital version is included as well. The last page of the PDF carries a "make a copy" link for each of the 3 episode quizzes; one click drops a ready-made copy into your own Google Drive, where you can assign it through Google Classroom or simply by link. The questions match the printable worksheet, every item is multiple choice so grading is fully automatic, and scores appear under the form's Responses tab the moment a student submits. Use the printable set, the digital quizzes, or both. If the set saves you prep time, a quick rating wherever you downloaded it helps other teachers find it. Ant In Circle SEL Lesson-About Growth Mindset and Grit
Special Resources, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Elementary, Middle School, Activities
In this 7 slide Google Slideshow, you have a lesson that is low prep and engaging. Students will get hooked first by a short video about an ant getting trapped in a pen circle. There are many discussion prompts. Then students will connect the concepts from the video to real life SEL situations. There is an activity where students draw a circle on a piece of paper and write in the middle "I can't" and then on the outside of the circle they will write ideas on how to escape the "invisible" barrier. On slide 6, they will do an index card experiment-read the slide notes. Then students will do an exit activity about what next steps they would be willing to do to break out of their circles to do something new. It is not on the actual slide in case you do not have time to do this activity. This lesson is great for third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth. (Maybe even in high school as well.) Algebra 1 Emergency Sub Plans - 5 Days Self-Checking Worksheets
Algebra, Math, Grade 8, 9, 10, Worksheets & Printables, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools, Worksheets
Being out of the room for a week is hard enough in Algebra, where the person covering your class usually cannot teach the content. This packet is built around that exact problem. It hands a substitute 5 complete class periods that need no preparation, no subject knowledge, and no grading. Across the 5 days students work through expressions & order of operations, solving linear equations, linear functions & slope, systems of linear equations, exponents & polynomials. Every day is two pages. The first opens with a fully worked example of the day’s skill, so a student who gets stuck reads the page rather than asking the substitute a question nobody in the room can answer, and then works a set of scaffolded problems that move from straightforward to more demanding. The second page is a self-checking activity: the answers either trace a connected path through a grid or decode into a punchline, which means a wrong answer announces itself to the student and gets fixed without an adult ever adjudicating it. Each of those pages also carries a find-the-mistake exercise and a challenge problem for anyone who finishes early. The routine is the point: the same five-minute opener every day, so students settle without being asked twice. A run sheet at the front tells whoever is covering exactly what to hand out each day and what to print, and a full set of answers waits at the back for your return. Every day stands on its own, so the set can run in any order, or a single day can be pulled on its own when you only need one. Designed for grades 8-10, printed in a clean low-ink layout, and equally at home in a homeschool schedule. Nothing here needs a calculator, a textbook, a login, or an internet connection.

Constitution & Ratification DBQ
History: USA, History, Social Studies, Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, DBQ's, Teacher Tools
Ask most students what the New Jersey Plan proposed and they will tell you: equal representation for every state. Ask them to find that sentence in the document and they cannot, because it is not there. The New Jersey Plan proposes keeping the Congress created by the Articles of Confederation, and the Articles had already given each state one vote. The equality is inherited, not argued for. That small discovery is the kind of thing this packet is built to produce. The question students argue is whether the Constitution was ratified on its merits or on a promise. Six documents let them build either case. The Virginia Plan opens the Convention with representation tied to population. The New Jersey Plan answers by preserving the old Congress, while accepting population as the basis for taxation, which is a sharper distinction than the one most courses teach. Brutus argues in a New York newspaper that no free republic has ever governed a territory this large. Publius answers in the Federalist that liberty is protected by dividing power so that ambition counteracts ambition, which is also the argument for why a bill of rights was thought unnecessary. Massachusetts then ratifies by nineteen votes and attaches a list of amendments it wants anyway. The sixth source is a data table of all thirteen ratification votes, and it does work no text can. Students can see that the early states ratified almost unanimously while the later ones came down to nineteen votes, ten, ten, three and two. Beneath it sits the First Congress transmitting the amendments in 1789, opening with the acknowledgement that the state conventions had expressed a desire for them. The bargain, in Congress's own words. The analysis questions are labeled by skill so students learn the vocabulary as they work: sourcing asks who made this and why it matters, context asks what was happening, close reading asks what the document actually claims. A second section makes students read the sources against one another, which is where the argument gets built. The teacher notes flag two things worth knowing. The vote table has a genuine historiographical wrinkle, because the most official-looking source available prints two of the state totals differently from four independent ones, and one analysis question turns on that. And the Federalist spelling is the original 1788 printing rather than a modernised edition. The writing prompt comes with a four-point analytic rubric covering claim, use of evidence, sourcing and context, and organization. The answer key gives a target response for every question and two model thesis statements taking opposite positions, so a teacher can show that the rubric rewards the quality of the argument rather than the side a student picks.
