Beginning Sound and Ending Sound Matching Game

Preschool and kindergarten students will have fun practicing phonological awareness skills by identifying the beginning sounds and ending sounds in words with these phonics matching cards. What is Included: In this phonics card set, there are 24 total cards, available in both color and black and white. Each set of cards makes 12 pairs of words with the same beginning sounds and ending sounds. Ways to Use: Concentration or Memory Game : Students will start the game by having all of the cards face down. Each student will take turns turning over 2 cards. If both the beginning sound and ending sound of both cards match, then the student keeps the pair. If they do not, then the student puts them back face down. The student with the most correct pairs wins. Find a Partner: The teacher starts by giving each student one of the picture cards. The students then look around at the cards the other students have to see if it matches their beginning sound and their ending sound. Once they find their match, then they found their partner. Students can simply work together to match the cards with the same beginning sound and ending sound. Pairs Included: bag - bug, bat - boat, crab - cab, dog - dig, fan - fin, hat - hut, log - leg, mop - map, night - net, rug - rag, sock - snake, vine - van Skills Assessed: This activity assesses students' abilities at identifying and matching beginning and ending sounds in single syllable words. This activity is a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. The cards just need to be printed out and cut apart. They can be laminated for durability if the teacher desires. The cards can be stores in a task box or pencil box for easy set up, clean up and storage options.

This material is an independent and interactive exercise for visual perception of letters, eye-hand coordination and fine motor development. The pictures can be used with any reading course, regardless of the textbook. Task The pupils look for the indicated letter in the grid and place a muggle stone (glass nugget, button or similar material) on the field. The letter is additionally emphasized by the magnifying effect of the muggle stones. Each letter/sound is supplemented by a matching sound picture. Self-check Once all the letters have been found, the respective letters can be seen as a self-check. Possible uses The material is suitable, for example, for free work or stations on the respective letters during the development of the letters/sounds in initial lessons. Alternatively, pupils can also mark the letters with a marker pen. Development goals Promote visual perception: students develop the ability to identify and recognize letters in a visual pattern. Eye-hand coordination: By placing the muggle pieces on the corresponding circles, students develop their fine motor skills and improve their hand-eye coordination. Fine motor development: Grasping and placing the muggle bricks requires precise dexterity and strengthens students' fine motor skills. Alphabet awareness: The exercises help pupils to recognize the individual letters and link them to their sounds. They promote an understanding of the structure of the language. Self-checking: Once pupils have found all the letters, they can check whether they have worked correctly by looking at the letters they have put together. The Magna Carta - the Great Charter, a classroom play

Having my students involved in the learning process in my room is so much fun. Here is a 10-15 minute play to help bring alive history in your classroom! I use the Magna Carta play to help introduce the important topic of the Magna Carta. The overall theme, of course, is that no king (or government) is above the law. Three of the "rights" claimed by the unhappy barons are mentioned in the play, too. Currently, I am using this as part of an American History classroom. We are learning about the Roots of Representative Government. However, this resource can be used in many ways when learning about democracy, rights, the English Bill or Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and more. All have been influenced by Magna Carta. Students love being active while learning, and this gives them the chance. Every student can be involved if you choose. There are non-speaking parts like the "Knights of the King." Enjoy!

Students will then draw a picture to illustrate the sentence. With the Sight Word Practice worksheet: students will color, trace, and write the sight word as well as cut out the letters that spell the word and glue them in the correct boxes. With the Sight Word Search worksheet, students will color, draw, and trace the sight word as well as locate the sight word in a word search. With the Sight Word Dab It worksheet, students will dab, color, or cover the sight word with markers or small manipulatives. With the Sight Word Tracing worksheet, students can rainbow write or trace the sight word. With the Sight Word Color worksheet, students can color, rainbow write, or paint their sight words. They may also decorate the sight word with small craft materials or dot painting. The self-correcting feature on the cards allow students to check their reading. What is Included: There are 44 digraph words included in this packet. Included in the packet are illustrated directions on how to put the cards together. The digraphs included in this set are: CK, KN, MB, NG, NK, PH, and WR. How to Use: Students will get a card for the pile. Students will practice reading the word on the card, using the dots and arrows as a finger guide to reading the word. Once they feel confident that they know the word they read, they will open the card to reveal a picture of the word they read. When to Use: Literacy Center - Students can work independently or with a partner to read these words Morning Tub or Basket - The cards can be placed in a morning bin for students to work on as students arrive to class. UEFA European Championship 2024 -Football Jerseys Euro 2024 This material includes jerseys featuring national flags in the shape of hearts for all 24 participants of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024. Each jersey comes in both color and black-and-white versions for coloring. Euro 2024 - Decoration: Themed Wall or Board Material: Decorate your themed wall for Euro 24 with the jerseys. You can use them, for example, to visualize the current match schedule or the current rankings of the countries. Simply cut off the flap at the neckline. Pennant Banner: Hang the jerseys as a pennant banner in the classroom. Fold the small flap at the neckline over the string and attach it to the bottom edge. Euro 2024 - Creating Profiles: Attach the front sides of the jerseys with flags to the back of profile templates using the neckline flap to create foldable cards.
