Phonic Spelling Programme Level 1 Ages 7+
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools, Outlines, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards, Workbooks
This is a Phonic spelling programme. Not only will it teach a child to spell, but also to write. Just add a good handwriting programme. The spelling programme can be used with all ages from 5 to 99, however, if used with a young learner I strongly advise using the programme to teach both reading and spelling at the same time. See the website for more information and resources to teach young children. The spelling programme can be used: with children who have learnt to read, but need a spelling/writing programme with children who have tried another phonic programme and not made much progress with reading and/or spelling/writing with a special needs child who needs a very structured approach to learning by home educators by parents wishing to help their child at home About the programme The programme is very flexible and can be made to fit the child, rather than the child to fit the programme. Being highly structured, each new lesson builds on the one before, constantly revising the previously taught material The spelling programme will take 41 weeks to teach. One new sound is taught each week. What is included? The teacher's manual with full lesson plans and helpful teaching tips A list of the keywords for each lesson with the phonic sound highlighted - for practice and revision 39 spelling worksheets The Reading Made Simple Phonic flashcards The Odd Word flashcards About the worksheets The worksheets use time-honoured exercises to help pupils to become familiar with the new sound and revise previously taught ones. They include such exercises as tracking the new sound in words, proofreading as well as comprehension questions. Children generally find them fun because they are so easy due to the way learning is structured throughout the programme. More information If you would like more information about the spelling programme, then please visit the Reading Made Simple website. The same programme and set of worksheets can also be used to help an older child read, one who has some phonic knowledge but needs the gaps filled in a systematic manner.

Proprioceptive Power-Ups: A Gamified Physical Therapy & Sensory
Research, Resources for Teachers, Classroom Management, Community Building, Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Social Skills, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Worksheets & Printables, Workbooks, Worksheets, Word Searches, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Graphic Organizers, Lesson Plans, Presentations, Outlines
With Proprioceptive Power-Ups, you can turn dysregulated classrooms into focused learners. This complete, evidence-based, gamified sensory regulation program takes ‘heavy work’ and transforms it into new fun, student-led Power-Ups. The 27-page digital PDF resource is designed to provide occupational therapy, physical therapy, and real-world classroom viability for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Using Sensory Integration Theory, Self-Determination Theory (SDT), and micro-learning protocols, Proprioceptive Power-Ups provide sensory seekers with 3-5 minute ‘bursts’ of proprioceptive and vestibular input that calm those under-responding to sensations at the same time dramatically improving attention, motor planning skills, emotional regulation, and other important areas of development. The following features are provided within Proprioceptive Power-Ups: Comprehensive theoretical underpinning (neurobiology of proprioception, tripartite circuit architecture, integration within an MTSS Tier 1-3 model) 10 student workbook worksheets with fill-in-the-blank self-reflection and data tracking to complete before beginning a new series of Power-Ups. Age-divided choice board usages for example K-2 use an imagination engine; 3-5 uses a mission protocol; 6-8 uses biometric optimization. Full-color diagrams, schematics include but are not limited to: Neurological Processing Pathway; 3-Phase Sensory Circuit; Gamification Mechanics Matrix. Examples of IEP goals, tools for collecting data, and case studies demonstrating an overall reduction of 60-78% in both elopement and disruption of classroom activities as compared to pre-Proprioceptive Power-Ups implementation. Instant digital download of entire resource, no preparation required! Proprioceptive Power-Ups are ideal for teachers, occupational therapy specialists (OT), physical therapy specialists (PT), special education teachers/special instructors, and parents who are serving students with or without ADHD, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other classroom sensory processing disorder(s). Why Schools & Parents Are So Happy About It 1. Effectively Calms & Focuses Students: With instant self-regulation through 3–5 minutes of gamified “heavy work” activities, elopement, meltdown, and verbal disruptions have been reduced by as much as 78% in real case study examples. 2. Zero Lesson Prep but Maximum Engagement for the Students: Therapy is turned into play, through Choice Boards and avatar style Power-Ups - giving students choice and control, and saving teachers time while providing maximum engagement for the students in busy classroom settings and for kids on their IEP. 3. Evidence Based and Measured Progress: Easy access to the “whole brain” theory of neuroscience with pre/post data tracking tools and IEP goal templates providing easy documentation of progress to parents and administrators. 4. Age Appropriate From K to 8th Grade: There are differentiated stations and language to keep even the youngest kids excited about (and the oldest kids “cool” about) participating in activities in the same room without being segregated by age. 5. Proven Return On Investment: High impact proprioceptive input (replacing ineffective fidgety tools) will continue to improve time on task, enhance writing skills, and improve working/executive function without the need to sacrifice time during instruction. Target Students and Grade Levels: The resource is geared toward kindergarten through 8th grade (K-8) students. The children that will benefit from this program demonstrate an under-stimulated or dysregulated proprioceptive and vestibular system, including: Sensory Seekers (i.e., crashing, chewing, and pressing too hard); Sensory Under-Responders (i.e., lethargic, floppy, and having low muscle tone); Students with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - Combined Type; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD); Dyspraxia .A general education classroom using a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) Tier 1 (i.e., universal brain breaks), Tier 2 (i.e., targeted small groups), and Tier 3 (i.e., Individualized Education Plan-specific on Circuit) will also utilize the program as needed. There is built-in scaffolding provided within the program through the following: narrative/imaginative play for grades K-2; challenge-based missions for grades 3-5; and more mature "biometric optimization" language for middle school (grades 6-8) to assist in securing the dignity of the adolescent population. Weekly History Syllabus Doodle Notes
Creative Arts, Graphic Arts, ELA, Writing, Resources for Teachers, History, Social Studies, High School, Homeschool Resources, Middle School, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts, Teacher Tools, Graphic Organizers, Outlines, Templates
Ever feel like your history lessons need a serious pick-me-up? After watching my teenager's eyes glaze over during one too many timeline activities, I knew I had to create something different! These Weekly History Syllabus Doodle Notes were born late one night at my kitchen table, surrounded by scattered history books and half-finished lesson plans that weren't working for either of us. As a fellow homeschool mom who's navigated the treacherous waters of teaching history to a teenager (who'd rather be doing ANYTHING else), I have poured all my real-world experience into these templates. Gone are the days of dry, boring history planning that puts both of us to sleep! Instead, I have created visual planning sheets that finally clicked for my visually-oriented teen. Now we're mapping out historical connections, documenting primary source readings, and planning research activities in a way that actually sticks! The magic happens when those historical concepts come alive through both organized planning AND creative visual elements. My daughter went from "Do we have to do history today?" to pointing out connections between historical periods on her own—I amnot kidding! These templates have completely transformed how history works in our homeschool, and I cannot wait for them to do the same for yours. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Comprehensive weekly history planning template with visually engaging design Designated spaces for historical learning objectives, content focus, and instructor information Daily sections for documenting classwork, discussions, quizzes, and attendance Specialized reading assignment sections for historical texts and primary sources Homework planning areas with website research recommendations and writing prompts Visual note-taking spaces that connect historical concepts with creative representation Structured organization that accommodates the unique narrative nature of history instruction Look, I am not going to pretend I'm some super-organized homeschool mom with color-coded bookshelves (my laundry pile would quickly disprove that myth!). But after years of history lessons that felt like pulling teeth, these doodle notes have honestly saved our homeschool history curriculum. Sunday afternoons used to find me stressed and overwhelmed, staring at history books and wondering how to make centuries-old events relevant to my tech-obsessed teen. Now? I actually look forward to mapping out our history week! The combination of chronological organization with visual creativity means concepts stick in a way they never did before. My daughter has gone from glazed-over eyes to making connections between historical periods on her own. No joke—last week she compared political patterns from ancient Rome to something in today's news WITHOUT PROMPTING! Grab these templates today, and in a few weeks, you will be texting your homeschool friends about how your kid suddenly loves history. (And they'll demand to know your secret!) Homeschooling a high schooler is a completely different ballgame, isn’t it? I quickly realized that my teenager could spot pointless busywork a mile away—and honestly, they just do not tolerate it. I needed something that fulfilled those necessary high school academic requirements but actually got my teen talking. That frustration is exactly why I built this f our-week unit study for The Outsiders . I originally designed it to take the planning pressure off my own shoulders while offering the kind of mature, respectful academic challenge that older kids appreciate. We skip the repetitive, surface-level comprehension questions here. Instead, this unit targets the messy, real-world themes that high schoolers actually care about: class divides, identity, and the intense pressure to belong. Because the daily layout is already completely organized for you, you can stop stressing over Sunday night lesson planning. Instead, you get to just sit down at the table and dive into great book discussions with your student. This High School The Outsiders Unit Study study was a genuine labor of love in our own home. My hope is that it gives you back your prep time and turns your literature hours into something you both actually look forward to each day. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Daily roadmap for structured learning. 6-part test, rubrics, and grading keys. 20 deep-thinking prompts and essay topics. Note-taking sheets, projects, and progress trackers. TOPICS COVERED: Greasers vs. Socs class analysis. Exploring adolescent pressure and growth. Symbolism, narrative voice, and theme. Investigating self-concept and belonging. Whether you need a solid foundation for a high school literature credit or a meaningful supplemental deep dive, this growing bundle bridges the gap between academic rigor and true heart. It challenges older students/homeschoolers to think critically and dissect the complexities of Hinton’s iconic narrative, while giving you back hours of your precious weekly prep time. Social Studies, Geography, Grade 9, 10, 11, 12, Outlines, Teacher Tools
The Shrinking World Notes and Outline The Shrinking World Notes and Outline is an educational resource designed to simplify the intricate topic of Globalization. Primarily intended for teachers instructing AP Human Geography, it can also be effectively utilized by educators in high school economics classes or anyone looking to provide their students in 9th through 12th grade with clearer insights into this vital global process. This product comes as a 33-slide Power Point presentation. Each slide has been meticulously crafted to promote ease of understanding and note taking, allowing students the flexibility to write their notes directly from the teacher's visuals. Presentation Overview: The presentation begins with a comprehensive explanation of what globalization truly means - from its core principles down to its more nuanced components. It then shifts focus towards examining why globalization happens at all; such as the growing influence of multinational corporations in recent decades, utilizing Wal Mart as a case study. A key aspect covered are geographical understandings associated with space and distribution including concepts such as density, concentration and pattern. These concepts factor significantly into any analysis concerning Globalization's impacts on our world. The presentation delves into space-time compression - how technology continues shrinking our planet metaphorically - transitioning seamlessly into distance decay: explaining how geographically distant places interact less than closer ones. To complete this informative journey through Globalization an exploration on diffusion aimed at consolidating learners' understanding about its different forms like relocation diffusion (wherein ideas spread through physical movement) or expansion diffusion (spread via communication). Note: Teachers will need to download this file because it comes packaged as zipped content which contains everything they need in one convenient format. In summary, "The Shrinking World Notes & Outline" is designed not just for imparting facts about Globalization but also encouraging critical thinking around complex socio-economic themes that shape our increasingly interconnected world today!
