It was determined that the primary target audience for the content and example case studies of students and adults was high school students ages 14-18 in grades 9-12. Case studies utilized for reference were from students in their 10th and 11th grade year, included high school scenarios such as expected academic performance (i.e., transcripts) to identify which extra curricular activities students would participate in, such as: extracurricular activities (e.g., debate club, robotics); and student worksheets will have students reflect on their interests (e.g., interest in space exploration or environmental projects) and what path they would pursue through a community college or university. This resource is perfect for career education classes, guidance counseling sessions, or homeschooling activities related to getting ready for the job market after high school and the impact on their jobs in an unstable economy. The secondary audience of the content and the example case studies was all post-high school students ages 12+ including: young adults transitioning to a 4-year college, first-year college freshmen, and working adults looking to upskill/re-skill. Additionally; case studies of older adults (past PhD graduates and adults in their late 20s seeking to transition from administrative positions to logistics in the bio-tech industry) demonstrate that the resource promotes lifelong learning, investigation, and adapting to shifting technologies (e.g., AI and quantum computing). Some target classes could be the introductory college career development course; vocational training program; and adult learning/education workshops about Artificial Intelligence Ethics and skill bridging. With an emphasis on marketing to high school career preparation classes, but also demonstrate the versatility of the program to appeal to transitional learners in larger markets. High School The Outsiders 4-Week Unit Study (Growing Bundle)
ELA, Literature, Reading, Writing, Research, High School, Homeschool Resources, Teacher Tools, Assessments, Graphic Organizers, Lesson Plans, Outlines, Presentations, Quizzes and Tests, Rubrics, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts
Homeschooling a high schooler is a completely different ballgame, isn’t it? I quickly realized that my teenager could spot pointless busywork a mile away—and honestly, they just do not tolerate it. I needed something that fulfilled those necessary high school academic requirements but actually got my teen talking. That frustration is exactly why I built this f our-week unit study for The Outsiders . I originally designed it to take the planning pressure off my own shoulders while offering the kind of mature, respectful academic challenge that older kids appreciate. We skip the repetitive, surface-level comprehension questions here. Instead, this unit targets the messy, real-world themes that high schoolers actually care about: class divides, identity, and the intense pressure to belong. Because the daily layout is already completely organized for you, you can stop stressing over Sunday night lesson planning. Instead, you get to just sit down at the table and dive into great book discussions with your student. This High School The Outsiders Unit Study study was a genuine labor of love in our own home. My hope is that it gives you back your prep time and turns your literature hours into something you both actually look forward to each day. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Daily roadmap for structured learning. 6-part test, rubrics, and grading keys. 20 deep-thinking prompts and essay topics. Note-taking sheets, projects, and progress trackers. TOPICS COVERED: Greasers vs. Socs class analysis. Exploring adolescent pressure and growth. Symbolism, narrative voice, and theme. Investigating self-concept and belonging. Whether you need a solid foundation for a high school literature credit or a meaningful supplemental deep dive, this growing bundle bridges the gap between academic rigor and true heart. It challenges older students/homeschoolers to think critically and dissect the complexities of Hinton’s iconic narrative, while giving you back hours of your precious weekly prep time. If you and your students/homeschoolers enjoyed this unit study, please leave a review. Thank you for your continued support! Tina - Big Easy Homeschooling Mom

High School Rooted in Radiant Confidence - 5-Day Teen Self-Esteem Mini
ELA, Writing, Reading, Research, Resources for Teachers, Homeschool Resources, High School, Teacher Tools, Templates, Outlines, Activities, Worksheets & Printables, Writing Prompts
Navigating the teenage years often feels like a high-stakes balancing act where academic pressure and social expectations collide daily. As a homeschool mom, I have walked through those seasons of uncertainty with my own high schooler and understand the struggle firsthand. I created this High School Rooted in Radiant Confidence - 5-Day Teen Self-Esteem Mini-Devotional resource to provide a grounded, faith-based anchor that helps teens move past the noise of digital comparison and self-doubt. It is designed to be more than just a devotional; it is a supportive companion for your student’s journey toward true, lasting identity. By shifting the focus from external achievements to internal worth, this High School Rooted in Radiant Confidence - 5-Day Teen Self-Esteem Mini-Devotional helps students/homeschoolers see themselves through the lens of a loving Creator. Ultimately, my goal is to provide a user-friendly tool that fosters deep introspection while lightening your load as a busy educator. Furthermore, this resource offers a structured way to nurture your student's/homeschooler's heart during a time when they are beginning to define their own path. It serves as a gentle reminder that their value is secure regardless of the changing opinions of the world around them. INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE: Five-day devotional guide with Scripture prompts. Daily reflection questions for meaningful journaling. Structured goal-setting templates for future growth. Dedicated note pages for tracking personal insights. TOPICS COVERED: Embracing unique God-given personality and gifts. Overcoming self-doubt through reliance on Christ. Purpose-driven living and service to others. Finding strength within moments of personal weakness. Finally, the conclusion is intentionally crafted to help teens carry this momentum forward into their everyday lives. I suggest simple methods, such as using "scripture anchors" or maintaining the journal for monthly reviews, to ensure the impact continues indefinitely. Because we all know that teenage life can be unpredictable, this section provides a "reset" button for those inevitable days of discouragement. By sharing these prompts with trusted mentors or parents, students/homeschoolers also build a community of support that reinforces their new perspective. Ultimately, this devotional is meant to be a foundational building block for a lifetime of faith-based self-esteem. Whether used during a quiet morning or a weekly check-in, this High School Rooted in Radiant Confidence - 5-Day Teen Self-Esteem Mini-Devotional resource offers a steady path toward walking in radiant, Christ-centered confidence. It is my sincere hope that this resource will serve as a constant reminder of who they are and whose they are. May it provide them with the encouragement they need to face every challenge with courage and grace. If you and your students/homeschoolers enjoyed this resource, please leave a review. The black-and-white versions also work well as coloring images or quiet time activities. What’s included: 6 full-color soccer player illustrations (PNG) 6 black-and-white versions (same poses, line art for coloring) Transparent backgrounds – easy to insert into documents or slides High-resolution (300 dpi) for both print and digital use Whether you're designing a poster for your school’s soccer tournament, a vocabulary handout in PE, or themed name tags for a sports day – these illustrations add a playful and active touch. Phonic Spelling Programme Level 1 Ages 7+
Special Resources, ELA, Special Education Needs (SEN), Language Development, Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools, Outlines, Worksheets & Printables, Flashcards, Workbooks
This is a Phonic spelling programme. Not only will it teach a child to spell, but also to write. Just add a good handwriting programme. The spelling programme can be used with all ages from 5 to 99, however, if used with a young learner I strongly advise using the programme to teach both reading and spelling at the same time. See the website for more information and resources to teach young children. The spelling programme can be used: with children who have learnt to read, but need a spelling/writing programme with children who have tried another phonic programme and not made much progress with reading and/or spelling/writing with a special needs child who needs a very structured approach to learning by home educators by parents wishing to help their child at home About the programme The programme is very flexible and can be made to fit the child, rather than the child to fit the programme. Being highly structured, each new lesson builds on the one before, constantly revising the previously taught material The spelling programme will take 41 weeks to teach. One new sound is taught each week. What is included? The teacher's manual with full lesson plans and helpful teaching tips A list of the keywords for each lesson with the phonic sound highlighted - for practice and revision 39 spelling worksheets The Reading Made Simple Phonic flashcards The Odd Word flashcards About the worksheets The worksheets use time-honoured exercises to help pupils to become familiar with the new sound and revise previously taught ones. They include such exercises as tracking the new sound in words, proofreading as well as comprehension questions. Children generally find them fun because they are so easy due to the way learning is structured throughout the programme. More information If you would like more information about the spelling programme, then please visit the Reading Made Simple website. The same programme and set of worksheets can also be used to help an older child read, one who has some phonic knowledge but needs the gaps filled in a systematic manner.
