911 or Not? Emergency Decision Reading Cards and an Info Card

About This Product
These 911 decision cards help students read a situation and decide: call 911, tell an adult, or handle it later, then fill in their own emergency info card.
Why I made this: A student once wrote "call 911" for every question on a safety quiz, even a lost lunch card. Nobody had shown him the middle ground. These cards practice three answers and end with an info card in the student's own words.
What's included:
• A 13-page PDF and an editable Word copy
• A teacher page with a three-level table, a 2-week plan, and current US 911 guidance in plain words
• 3 documents: a sample emergency info card, a fire department "Emergency or Not?" flyer, and a blank info card with a wallet card
• Level A ●: 10 cards with a picture and 2 choices, in 16 point or larger type
• Level B ■: 10 cards with 3 choices (call 911, tell an adult, handle it later)
• Level C ▲: 10 short-answer cards
• 3 practice pages, an answer key, a data sheet with a 10-session graph, a try-it-for-real page, and blank cards
How to use it: Read the flyer and the sample info card together. Do one level at a time and use the card codes to check. Level C answers can be said or written. Finish by filling in the info card with a trusted adult.
Who it's for: High school special education teachers, 18-21 program teachers, job coaches, and families teaching calm, everyday safety decisions.
Format: PDF, US Letter, 13 pages, plus an editable Word copy. Prints well in black and white.
How this is different: Phone Skills for Everyday Calls | Appointments, Voicemail + Phone Menus teaches everyday calls.
