A YOUNG SCHOLAR'S BOOKLET OF SIGHT WORDS

This booklet is an introduction to sight words. It covers ten sight words with hands-on on work. There are explicit assignments for each sight word, The worksheets require tracing, using a word in a sentence, recognizing geomatic shapes, and identifying the words in a group. It is interesting to note that the shapes of words help to identify words! For instance, the word, the can be looked at as the first part of a train. Moreover, there are many outlines of animals and pictures which students can color in! Some pictures that are to be colored in, match the content and text. This lines up with core standards, and includes identifying shapes of words, as well. It is designed for grades Pre-K, K, and 1. The ages which are ideal for this booklet are ages 4-6.
