About This Product

This half-sheet classroom rules poster is simple, yet effective. It reminds students of important protocol; what to do when someone else is talking. That does NOT just mean the teacher, but when any one person is speaking to the group/class, everyone else should be doing these three things: 1. Looking at the person who is speaking (for this, there is an image of an eye -my eye!). 2. Be silent (for this, there is an image of a mouth crossed out -my mouth!). 3. Keep your hands down (for this, there is an image of a hand with an arrow pointing down -yup, my hand!). This last one is the most underrated- it irks me so much when kids raise their hands when someone else is sharing, like all they're thinking about is what THEY want to say, so they're likely not truly listening to the speaker. My favorite thing about this poster is that, after it is explained, I simply have to point to it and make eye contact with the person who is forgetting the rules on the sign!
