Introduction

If you’re teaching the passé composé and your students are having a hard time choosing between avoir and être, this resource was made to give them extra practice in a simple and clear way. I created these exercises after noticing that many students understand the rule but still make mistakes when they try to apply it in sentences. So the goal here is simply to give them enough repetition to feel more confident using the passé composé correctly.

Objective:

Students will practice and reinforce their understanding of the passé composé by working with both avoir and être, focusing on auxiliary selection, past participles, and basic agreement.
