100 Chart Addition & Subtraction Mystery Picture | 1st & 2nd Grade Math

Practicing addition and subtraction can sometimes feel repetitive for students. I designed this activity to make math practice fun! Students use a hundreds chart to solve math problems and reveal a colorful mystery picture.

What's Inside?

I created this printable 100 chart mystery picture activity with a mix of addition and subtraction questions connected to numbers on the 100 chart.

Students will practice:

• Adding 10

• Subtracting 10

• Finding 10 more

• Finding 10 less

• Adding numbers such as +2 and +7

• Subtracting numbers such as -3 and -5

• Solving addition and subtraction problems within 100

After solving each question, students will find the answer on their hundreds chart and color it according to the color code. As they keep solving and coloring, a Rainbow Right Angles shape will appear!

Why I Created This Resource

I wanted to create a math activity that gives students a reason to keep solving instead of feeling like they are simply completing another worksheet. The mystery picture adds a little excitement while students practice important addition, subtraction, and 100 chart skills.

I also kept the activity simple and easy to print, so it can be used without a lot of preparation.
