These crossword puzzle are for students that are learning spelling. In these crosswords, you have a numbered list of words at the bottom of each page. Students have to name the opposite of each word into the corresponding horizontal line of the crossword. The lines are connected so when the crossword is filled correctly, a hidden message will appear in the emphasized vertical row.

The benefit of this kind of crossword puzzle is that once students understand the simple concept, they are able to proceed themselves regardless of their level. The answer of the crosswords are included, but students are able to tell themselves whether they are right or not. If the hidden sentence is meaningful they are most likely to have done it right.
