Pet Animals word search, scramble and crossword

⭐ I made this pet animals puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during a random week when we needed something fun but still useful. The kids love talking about their pets at home so I figured why not turn it into a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword. Words like dog, cat, hamster, guinea pig, parrot, turtle, fish, and rabbit. Nothing too hard but the scramble trips them up on "ferret" sometimes which is actually funny to watch.

⭐ The PDF is four pages total. Three puzzles and one answer key page that covers all three. Word search is great for quiet time after recess. The scramble works better in pairs because they argue about spelling. Crossword I save for kids who finish early and need something calm. I added a couple little paw print and fishbowl drawings but kept it clean so it prints fine in black and white.

⭐ Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and hand out. Sometimes I ask them to circle their favorite pet from the puzzle and write one sentence about why they like it. Takes zero prep and the kids actually ask for these now instead of groaning at worksheets.
