Solving Multiplication cover with polar bear: students match problem cards to answer cards and record on the sheet
Read the directions aloud before setting up the matching task
Multiplication problem cards 3 x 7, 4 x 8 and 6 x 9, each with an empty square where students place the matching product
Print and cut apart; first set of three problem cards
Multiplication problem cards 2 x 7, 9 x 8 and 2 x 9 with a blank square on each for students to match the correct product
Second set of problem cards for the matching center
Multiplication problem cards 6 x 7, 5 x 8 and 5 x 9; students find the answer card for each and set it in the blank square
Third card set; laminate for repeated center use

Product answer cards to cut out: 14, 24, 81, 42, 40, 45, 14, 72, 18, 21, 32 and 54 for matching to the problem cards
Cut apart and shuffle so students can sort answers to problems
Multiplication recording sheet: students solve 12 equations such as 2 x 7, 9 x 9 and 6 x 9 and write each product
Collect as a check on each student's matching work
