Technology Careers word search, scramble and crossword puzzle

I made this technology careers puzzle set for my 4th graders during our career exploration and computer science unit. The kids could name a few tech jobs like coder and gamer, but they had no idea about the incredible range of roles that exist today—or what words like cybersecurity, database, or UI/UX meant when we talked about them. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like programmer, developer, data analyst, network engineer, cybersecurity, software, hardware, quality assurance, and systems architect. I also made sure to include "artificial intelligence" and "machine learning" because the kids kept asking about them, and "database" because it's foundational to so many roles.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess or independent practice. The scramble gets them talking because they argue about the spelling of "cybersecurity" or whether a game designer is the same as a programmer. The crossword I use for partners or as a review after we've watched career exploration videos. I added a couple simple computer, robot, and gear drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 4th through 6th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one tech career from the puzzles and write what they do on the back. The kids actually ask for these now.
