Zoo Animals word search, scramble and crossword

⭐ I made this zoo animals puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during a field trip week. We were learning animal names and habitats but the kids were too excited to sit for regular worksheets. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like giraffe, penguin, elephant, zebra, monkey, lion, tiger, and kangaroo. Nothing crazy — just simple puzzles to keep them busy and learning at the same time.

⭐ The PDF is four pages total. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works great for quiet time after recess. The word scramble gets them talking because they argue about how to spell "penguin" every single time. The crossword I save for pairs or small groups. I added a couple tiny animal footprints on each page but kept it clean so it prints well in black and white.

⭐ Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick their favorite zoo animal from any puzzle and write one fact about it on the back. Easy. The kids actually ask for these now.
