This printable alphabet game includes 26 matching boards (A–Z) and more than 100 picture cards. Children look at the letter in the center of the board, say each picture aloud, and match the cards with the correct beginning sound. Each letter has its own board, allowing children to focus on one sound at a time instead of working with the entire alphabet at once. This makes the activity easy to adapt for introducing new letters, reviewing previously learned ones, or providing extra practice for students who need it. As children play, they strengthen letter recognition, connect letters with their beginning sounds, and expand their everyday vocabulary. Saying each word before placing the card also encourages careful listening and helps reinforce the relationship between spoken and written language. The activity requires very little preparation. Simply print the pages, cut out the picture cards, and the game is ready to use. Laminating the pieces will make them durable for repeated use. Spelling & Vocab Each reading passage contains a variety of words and phrases designed for Grade 4-5 students. Spelling and vocab activities provide the opportunity to build fluency with these words.
