Digraph SH Word Wall Cards

Practice reading SH words with these digraph word wall cards. These cards make a great wall display for a phonics focused word wall as well as a reference resource within a writing center . What is in this resource? This resource includes word wall cards for the digraph SH. This set contains both CVCC, CCVC, and CCVCC words in two different formats. On each card you will find an illustration which is representing a digraph SH word that is written in large font for students to recognize and read easily. Students will be able to match the illustration with the SH word. There are two sets included in this resource, one with words on the cards in black letters and the other have the rime highlighted in red. This allows students to easily blend onset and rime to read each word. How to use this resource: This resource can be used as word wall cards. This resource can be used as puzzles by cutting the picture from the word. This resource can be used in a writing center as reference cards This resource can be used as writing cards for a sand or salt tray The cards can be used as flash cards These cards can be easily differentiated, allowing students a variety of different activities to practice reading words with digraphs. Students can use these cards as a reference when writing stories, sentences, labeling pictures, or copying in a writing center . The colorful, easy to recognize images will help students with learning unfamiliar words. The same cards may be used as puzzles, though for this feature, you will need to cut the cards to separate the illustrations from their word. Intro to Calculus Word Wall

This is an Intro to Calculus Word Wall that includes limits and derivatives. Your pre-calculus/calculus students will find this word wall beneficial as it provides them with many skills that will be covered in your course. As a teacher, you will find it helpful to quickly reference topics on the wall that were covered last week (or last semester). Each sheet features a title, a subtopic, and a sheet number. This will help you keep cards organized. The box for the sheet number is left blank on each sheet to give you the flexibility to rearrange sheets and number them however you like. Some sheets will need to be combined because they are too big to fit on one sheet. An “incomplete” border on the sheet indicates topic extends to multiple pages. For a long lasting resource, after printing, I suggest laminating each one of the pages. If wall space allows, post sheets as you cover them in class and leave them up throughout the year. If space is limited, print sheets half-size or replace sheets after completing a unit of study. In addition to using them as posters, this resource may be used in math centers , or as guidance for individual work, or for group work. The topics included are: 1. One black and white phonics anchor chart, which can be coloured by pupils What do the worksheets involve? The colour 'CK' anchor chart can be used as a word wall or as an aid to teaching the 'CK' digraph. The black and white anchor chart can be coloured by the pupil. The act of colouring helps the family of 'ai' words to be fixed together as a group of words in the child's memory. Here is a handy Doubling Rule A4-size poster. Do you need a simple way to help pupils know when to double and when not? Either give each table a poster to keep handy while the pupils write, or pin it at strategic points around the classroom for easy reference. Doubling can be made complicated, with more rules added, all of which add extra steps for a child to remember. This makes spelling a nightmare for a child with a processing difficulty. Here at Lilibette's Resources, I like to make reading and spelling as easy as possible, with as few rules as possible, helping the children to internalise the rules without the need to learn them parrot fashion. Here is the doubling rule simply explained with worked examples. The key rule is: We double to keep the vowel short. Many parents struggle with this rule, too! So why not send the poster home with your pupils? Teachers often teach parents unaware!!
