These colorful number geo board patterns are a great resource to have on hand when your students are reviewing and practicing number recognition and formation. Help your preschoolers have some fun playing with rubber bands and the shapes of numbers! These pair well with a preschool number of the week program! I hope your students enjoy stretching the rubber bands into the shapes or numbers instead of shooting them at their classmates. I wish you best of luck! How To Use This: Choose which poster style you want to use, print, and laminate for reuse. Work with your students to study the images as they work with real rubber bands and a real geo board to recreate the number shape. These are basically patterns or prompts so they can make their own numbers. Who knows!? Maybe they'll find a better way to make a number with rubber bands! tThese geo board patterns are perfect to use as part of a math center or activity box. They're excellent for younger students who are just being introduced to the concept of numbers and will help them study and review the shapes of numbers. Print student cards on cardstock, laminate and give a copy to each student or print on paper and tape over it on their desk. When teaching addition using touch points, you must first teach students the touch points for numerals one through nine. Teach 1-5 first and once those are mastered, move to 6-9 where you have to count the points with the rings twice. Display the posters in your room. Model how to count using the posters and student copies often. For addition, teach students how to say the biggest number and count on using the touch points on the smaller number. For subtraction, teach students how to say the bigger number and count backwards by touching the points on the smaller number.
